Monophonic sounds have only one channel audio stream. But stereophonic have two channels left & right. All of today's music files have more than one channel. But if you ever want to convert an old monophonic song to stereophonic then this tricks will help you.

This trick will convert your old monophonic music file into stereophonic (Actually not true stereophonic)
. The trick is if our ear hear any sound with a time gap with left to right then our brain just accept that sound as stereophonic.

We will use goldwave for this purpose.

Step 1:

First load your monophonic music into goldwave.. Use File->Open and then select the music file.




Step 2

Now select the entire song with Ctrl+A shortcut and copy it (Ctrl+C).

Step 3

Now create a new music file File->New and select time greater than or equal to your music file and press ok. (Number of channels must be 2)



Step 4

Now select the new file window and press Ctrl+Shift+L for selecting the left channel of that file and paste the copied sound clip. Use Ctrl+V.



Step 5

Now zoom the file spectrum using mouse scroll and select the right channel using Ctrl+Shift+R and then paste the same clip after 5 millisecond gap (You may change the gap suitable for you).




After that Play the file using Space bar or play button, and check the sound.

After that you can save the sound FIle->Save.
